Like a lot of people, I take a lot of photos on my phone. Even as a photographer, I don’t have my camera on me at all times. Anyone who follows my personal Instagram account will see that I post photos of my dog. A lot. But I do take photos of other things from time to time!
I thought it would be nice to do some ‘Weekly Update’ photos of non-work related photos to let you have a glimpse into the life of Steph!
1. I’ve been on a major health kick the latter part of this week for personal reasons, so a la Pinterest I rustled up some zucchini pizzas – delicious! I topped half with bacon and left the other half plain and they are so good, and even better that I don’t feel guilty about eating them!
2. Connected to the first photo, I’ve also been walking loads. Yesterday I walked 6 miles in an hour, and the same again today. Harvey is worn out! He’s not used to this kind of exercise and I was dragging him behind me for the last mile. Get used to it, pup! There are a lot more strenuous walks to come.
3. I’ve also been able to meet up with friends and just chill out. Harvey and my friends daughter quickly became friends – that photo is Miss L introducing him to her toys and cards!
4. I use my walks with Harvey to scout locations for upcoming shoots. I have a beautiful bridal session this week which will be perfect for this woodland scene.
5. …and this one, too! While hunting for the woodland scene the second time around I accidentally found this field FULL of bluebells. Harvey was only too happy to pose for a photo 🙂
6. Another recipe courtesy of Pinterest (although delicious, unfortunately not too healthy!) was the 3 ingredient nutella brownies. 1c of nutella, 10tbsp of flour and two eggs mixed together and baked. Amazing, especially with a sinful buttercream frosting…
7. Harvey FINALLY got groomed! He’s coming up to 3 and he was starting to look a bit scruffy, so off to the groomers he went. He hated every minute of it, and was climbing the window to me when I went to pick him up, but he’s now presentable. I think he’s finally forgiven me for leaving him with those people.
8. I love cherry blossoms! I found this one on a road aptly named Cherry Grove while walking Harvey today, though I’m in the middle of cleaning the winter weeds from my garden to plant a cherry blossom tree of my own. I just think they are the most beautiful things.
9. Last but not least. my inner nerd-child. I finally gave in and bought SimCity. I resisted for 11 months, but I have a lot more free time these days to build and destroy my own cities!
