On a beautiful summer’s day last July, I had the honour and privilege of joining Samantha & Richard for their incredible wedding. From the moment I first spoke to Sam on the phone, to meeting them at Joe’s Ice Cream Parlour for a chat I knew that they were my ideal couple – friendly, fun-loving and welcoming!
Their weddings was a colourful day, full of laughter and getting-to-know-you between their families. Guests had travelled from far and wide, all marvelling at the beauty of Oxwich bay, and remarking on the wonderful weather we had (sorry folks, it’s not always 30c and blue skies!)
The bride and her party got ready at Norton House Hotel in Mumbles, making her way to Mumbles Baptist Church for the ceremony. I’d never been inside the church before, but I was happily surprised to see how bright, airy and relaxed it was! The children at the primary school opposite had been made aware of the wedding and were all waiting along the fence to welcome her upon arrival – such a lovely sight.
Following the ceremony, they headed down to The Oxwich Bay Hotel for canapés and champagne in the gardens before the wedding breakfast was served in the marquee. Sam & Rich had chosen a beach theme, with complimentary pastel tones which worked incredibly well. They also had a Star Wars theme (can you spot it in the photos? It was so well done!) and the chef at the hotel made them the amazing chocolate cream cake!
I had such a hard time choosing photos for this post, simply because I have so, so many and it’s not possible to include all of them, so have a look at this “small selection”
