Georgia & Ricky – Manor Park Wedding

February 27, 2016

Georgia first got in touch with me last summer. She and Ricky were about to jet off to Cyprus for their wedding with their family and friends, but were planning their UK reception and had heard that I may be able to help them out. Georgia asked if I was ok photographing them and their dogs – of course! I LOVE dogs, the more the merrier. “It’s good that you said that,” said Georgia, “because we have 7”. Seven dogs?! Now that’s a challenge I was up for!

Georgia runs Louisianna Dog Grooming, which explains the perfectly coiffed pups! We formulated a plan of action a few weeks after they arrived back from Cyprus. We would head to Manor Park a few hours before the start of their reception and spend an hour getting photos of them with the dogs before guests started to arrive.

On the day, it worked out well, although 7 dogs definitely presents a challenge unlike any other! My assistant, Sam, and I managed to get lots of candid photos of each of the pups, however for the formal photos I found it easier to split the dogs up into smaller groups to make sure that they weren’t overstimulated or stressed by what was going on. We ended the hour long session with one group photo which miraculously saw all but one of the dogs looking at the camera, giving us the perfect shot below.

A couple of days before Christmas I popped in to see Georgia and Ricky and deliver their USB with images, but as a surprise I also presented them with a framed print which they absolutely loved (as did I!)
