Swansea has so many beautiful wedding venues, but whenever anyone asks me which is my favourite of all, The King Arthur Hotel never fails to come to mind. Not only do they have the most incredible team of wedding co-ordinators who flawlessly orchestrate your day, but the venue has such a wonderful mixture of areas to discover, from the quaint and rustic bar & restaurant, to the bright and spacious Avalon suite with the most amazing wood beams and fairy lights you could imagine! Outside, there is a beautiful courtyard, lawns, and the infamous lake and meadows where you must have some photos taken on the day. The hotel is also a stones throw away from many beautiful landmarks in Gower, so if you want to run off for photos on your wedding day you can be somewhere completely different in a matter of minutes, from beaches to cliffs to fields and hills. I love it all!
Natalie & Stuart made the perfect choice of having their wedding on New Year’s Eve 2015. The atmosphere was phenomenal, with a buzz in the air all day long. They started the day with their beautiful ceremony at St. Thomas Church, followed by wedding breakfast and reception at The King Arthur Hotel. Even the terrible weather did stop the celebrations – we simply moved the family portraits inside and waited patiently for a break in the weather to head out for the couple’s portraits.
From start to finish, Natalie & Stuart’s day was nothing short of elegance and attention-to-detail. From the bride’s gown (I have never seen a gown so delicate, intricate and beautiful!) to the decorations at the reception, everything was planned to perfection – and look at that cake!
Their sons, who you’ll see looking oh-so-smartly dressed, were unbelievably well behaved! They smiled non-stop, they made their way around to say hello to everyone, and only passed out as I was leaving at 10pm.
I wish I could have done this wedding all over again! Such a perfect day – congratulations, Natalie & Stuart!
