King Arthur Hotel Wedding
It was summer 2016, and Charles & Amy’s King Arthur Hotel wedding was definitely one I’ll never forget! There was fun, there was laughter, and a Chewbacca mask for extra kicks. Charles & Amy are an amazing couple and it was an honour to capture their wedding at The King Arthur Hotel, Gower.
I met up with the couple and knew instantly that we were a good match. Amy & her bridal party got ready in one of the hotel’s beautiful rooms, while Charles and his wedding party met at the hotel bar for drinks upon arrival. Both offered a fantastic opportunity to get preparation photos. The bride wore a gorgeous strapless gown with beautiful embellishments, while the bridesmaids wore elegant coral gowns. Their two flower girls wore beautiful white gowns which they loved to twirl around in!
It was a blisteringly hot day (makes a difference for Swansea!) and the sun was shining brightly as guests mingled in the courtyard ahead of the ceremony. They exchanged their vows in Avalon before heading outside for drinks and canapes.
We rounded off the day with sunset portraits in the meadow behind the hotel, making use of the gorgeous pond and foliage the hotel is so proud of. One of the best things about having your wedding at The King Arthur Hotel is that there is so much offered on site, and in 15 short minutes you and your new spouse can have a wide variety of beautiful portraits.
We held family photos on the lawn before the evening celebrations started. As usual, we made sure to capture their friends and family in a natural, candid manner so we could still get some amazing shots without disrupting the fun of the day too much. We had to drag ourselves away at the end of the night because we didn’t want to leave!
