I’m lucky enough to get the opportunity to capture lots of registry office weddings in Swansea – some days I’m there in the morning and again in the afternoon! A lot of couples who enquire with me about booking a photographer for their registry office wedding worry about getting good quality photographs, especially group photos with their friends and family. I always tell them that there’s no reason why they can’t have beautiful photos!
Swansea Registry Office is located right on the seafront, giving you the most incredible views over Mumbles and Swansea Bay. For a lot of my couples, we simply head to the green behind the registry office for group photos (with some brave couples, like Claire & Alec, encouraging their family and friends to head down onto the sand for some photos too)
Within walking distance to the registry office is also Swansea Marina where I love to take couples for some photos of just the two of them if there’s time. Claire & Alec were more than happy to oblige, and we took a little wander over to get some wonderful photos of just the two of them while their friends and family headed to the Marriott Hotel for drinks and nibbles.
Untraditionally, they broke up their wedding day and met up again in the evening for a bigger party with extended family and friends at 360 on Swansea Bay, opposite St. Helens Grounds so I headed down to meet them to get some beautiful sunset photos of them enjoying and celebrating on the beach.
